A natural smoothie with 29g protein — great to drink after a hard gym session, or to replace a meal.
Natural Chocolate Banana Protein Smoothie
- 1 medium banana (really ripe banannas taste best)
- 150 ml full fat milk
- 210g Fage Total 2% Greek Yoghurt
- 1½ T honey
- 2 T cacao powder
- The banana:
— At least a day before, peel a banana, snap it in half, then clingfilm it or pop into a freezer bag, and place in the freezer.
— Whilst you can use a fresh banana, a frozen banana will make your smoothie colder and more refreshing.
— Don’t make the mistake of putting more than one banana in the same bag, otherwise you’ll have a giant clump of bananas that won’t separate!
- Put all the ingredients in a blender, but leave the cacao and honey until last, otherwise they can stick to the bottom.
- Blend for 30 seconds or more until smooth.

*If you’re looking to reduce the number of calories, then you could replace the banana and honey with some stevia — making it only 273 calories.
