Mrs Fitness was recently interviewed by Fit & Well Magazine about how she lost 56 lbs (4 stone). We’ve had to keep it “hush, hush” until it published in the April edition.
In the article, she talks about how she buried her head in the sand, and avoided the reality that she was gaining weight. One day, after finding that her PJ’s were too tight, she stepped on the scales, only to be shocked at how much weight she’d put on. That was the low point she needed to motivate herself, to make a positive change.
She also talks about how I gave up my desk job to become a Personal Trainer, under the name Gymnacity, in Oxted…she was my first client. We focused on developing strength, muscle tone and shape, by using weights.
Her strength and energy has increased in leaps and bounds since she started. She regularly does kettlebell swings with 24kg, does hip thrusts with 65kg, and can hold a handstand against the wall for 1 minute.
Now aged 39, Mrs Fitness is not only functionally strong, but her regular weightlifting reduces the risk of her getting osteoporosis as she gets closer to menopause — something most women don’t realise.
Mrs Fitness tried many diets, but finally settled on Primal — she not only lost body fat, but her health improved at the same time. She became so enthusiastic about it that she trained to become a Primal Health Coach, so she could help others lose weight and improve their health quicker than she did.
